Science and society share a dynamic, bidirectional relationship. Scientific advancements frequently drive societal progress, while societal needs and priorities often guide the direction and focus of scientific research. CPUP is dedicated to fostering societal well-being and development by generating new knowledge that influences numerous domains. The dissemination of knowledge from CPUP's research projects extends cutting-edge advancements in psychological science to a wide range of professionals, the broader public, and decision-makers, thereby enhancing the impact and application of this research.
Citizen science entails the collaborative engagement of the public in the scientific research process and activities, aimed at enriching scientific knowledge and fostering the democratization of scientific research. Here, you can find scientific projects and activities developed by CPUP's researchers that use Citizen Science methodology.
Sharing and communicating research with diverse audiences, promoting understanding of scientific concepts, and fostering enthusiasm for science are crucial aspects of science. Resources developed in the scope of CPUP's projects and activities are available for usage by professionals or the general public (e.g., apps, books, podcasts, workshops, Youtube channels).
Based on the project's white papers or policy briefs, you can find out how CPUP's research contribute to support evidence-informed decision-making, as well as the definition and implementation of policies in different areas (e.g., education, family support, mental health, gender equality, fertility, remote work).
