A ciência e a sociedade partilham uma relação dinâmica e bidirecional. Os avanços científicos impulsionam frequentemente o progresso societal, enquanto as necessidades e prioridades sociais orientam continuamente a direção e o foco da investigação científica. O CPUP está comprometido em promover o bem-estar e o desenvolvimento da sociedade, gerando novos conhecimentos que influenciam diversos domínios. A disseminação dos conhecimentos provenientes dos projetos de investigação do CPUP leva os avanços mais recentes da ciência psicológica a uma vasta gama de profissionais, ao público em geral e aos decisores políticos, potenciando assim o impacto e a aplicação dessa investigação.

CIDADÃ

A ciência cidadã implica o envolvimento colaborativo do público no processo e nas atividades de investigação científica, com o objetivo de enriquecer o conhecimento científico e promover a democratização da investigação científica. Aqui, pode encontrar projetos e atividades científicas desenvolvidas por investigadores do CPUP que utilizam a metodologia da Ciência Cidadã.

EXTENSÃO
UNIVERSITÁRIA

Partilhar e comunicar a investigação a públicos diversificados, promover a compreensão de conceitos científicos e fomentar o entusiasmo pela ciência são aspetos cruciais da ciência. Os recursos desenvolvidos no âmbito dos projetos e atividades da CPUP estão disponíveis para utilização por profissionais ou pelo público em geral (e.g., aplicações, livros, podcasts, workshops, canal Youtube).

The project brings together people with hereditary cancer syndromes and their families, genetic counseling specialists, psychologists, communication designers and gamification experts to jointly co-create solutions to deal with the challenges of hereditary cancer syndrome over time.

This European project aims to promote teachers' well-being through positive behaviour support in early childhood education. A set of activities and sessions were developed and are freely available to foster well-being and positive relationships at the workplace.

In the scope of this European project, pilot actions were co-created together with children, youth, and other stakeholders for the inclusion of migrant children and youth in education.

The project is the first smartphone-delivered sexual health promotion programme that seeks to adapt traditional face-to-face interventions for older adults, people with chronic diseases, and their partners. ANATHEMA involves seniors, colorectal cancer and stroke survivors, psychologists, sexologists, caregivers and clinical institutions in all phases of the project.

The project aimed to articulate citizens, science and public policies in the management of adaptation to climate change; deepen knowledge about environmental challenges; create and encourage spaces for communication and co-creation between scientists, young people, activists, economic agents and policy makers; and produce recommendations about resilience and adaptation.

#NarcissusMeetsPandora is an innovative arts-based practice that takes up digital technologies as tools for youth (14-17 yrs) to critically and socially engage in the social media contents production. In the initial phase of this European project, in all countries involved, focus groups were held with teenagers to adjust the workshops to the needs and interests of teenagers.

This project was designed using action-research design and based on an equitable collaboration between schools, cultural institutions, and universities. Children’s (1-6 yrs) exploration of the multiple spaces of the city aimed to support active citizenship, fostering creativity, collaboration, and communication. Art was used as a cross-cultural mediator, as art is both an idiosyncratic and universal language.

ArtiCULan set up a framework for artistic projects to offer children (6-12 yrs) in Content and language integrated learning (CLIL) and refugee classes the opportunity to create art. Throughout this European project, teachers and other technicians were involved in designing and facilitating the workshops.

This project aimed to study the psychosocial adaptation process of individuals not affected by cancer who were undergoing hereditary cancer risk assessment as well as their families, in order to inform the organization of integrated family-centered care.
