A workshop “Ciência para as Políticas Públicas” (by Andreia Sousa and Alice Lourenço) will take place in FPCEUP (room 251), on May 28th, between 9h30 and 17h30

The “ Ciência para as Políticas Públicas" (Science for Public Policies) Workshops aim to bring Science and Public Policies closer together in the construction of policies informed by evidence. It is of great relevance for researchers, communicators and science managers, as well as doctoral students.

This distinction is awarded by Scientific Society for the Study of Sexuality (SSSS) and Journal of Sex Research to the best paper published in the Journal of Sex Research with a student as the first author.

The Play-the-Odds Project encourages families to talk about the risk of hereditary cancer and rare deseases

The project tries to answer to a demand pointed out by families and health professionals, namely, preparing families to reveal an heredirary cancer syndrome in the family to their children. The goal is to develop a prototype digital tool for genetic counseling to communicate avbout the risk of hereditary cancer. The Play-the-Odds Project is sponsored by FCT (EXPL/PSI-GER/1270/2021)
